Dave Covington is a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a hospital corpsman near the end of the Iraq War and later as a field medic in the Army National Guard. After earning his degree in Special Education from Chadron State College, he dedicated his career to teaching in Arkansas, where his compassion and commitment left a lasting mark on his students. His life reflects a deep belief in service, healing, and human connection.

Now retired, Dave remains active with the Special Olympics and lives as a practicing Buddhist monk. He enjoys traveling across the U.S. and abroad, finding inspiration in new experiences and quiet reflection. Through his writing, he shares stories shaped by empathy, peace, and the lessons learned from a lifetime of service and self-discovery.
